Miekak is situated in northern Sweden, 50 kms north of the Arctic Circle in the heart of the mountain wilderness of Lapland. It is in the middle of Luokta Mavas Saami region, only 30 kms to the Sarek National Park.Miekak is part of the last remaining wilderness of Europe and offers fantastic opportunities for fishing, hunting and hiking. You can enjoy solitude and freedom or spend quality time with your friends or family. You alone decide on the conditions of your stay.

You can reach this wilderness by foot or in the winter by snow-mobile or skis. You can also fly here by helicopter, a fast and convenient means of reaching the camp. You can stay in one of our cabins and buy your basic necessities at the shop.

You can visit us anytime of the year. For a totally different experience, come during the coldest and darkest season, in December and January. Brrr! That is when you really see the forces of Nature and your own smallness in a new perspective. You can hardly get closer to reality than this.

Nature is manifested here in the wilderness in all its glory. Let go and enjoy. Take a fishing trip and match your wits against a fighting brown trout in one of the 21 lakes in the area. Go on a hunting trip. Hike in the mountains, pausing here and there to fill your cup with cold, refreshing water. Get acquainted with untouched nature and get a new outlook on life!
